Terms of use
These terms govern your use of bestofyou.ai (“Best of You”, “the service”). By creating an account or using the service, you accept them.
1. The service
Best of You lets you take a personality test based on the Big Five model (openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, neuroticism). Your answers are turned into scores, from which an artificial intelligence writes a personality profile. You can keep your tests, generate your profile in several languages, share it through a link, and compare your personality with others in duos and groups.
The service is free and currently in beta: features may change, be interrupted or be removed, and data may be lost. We do our best to keep it available, without any guarantee.
2. Not a diagnosis
Best of You is meant for personal development and entertainment. Profiles and analyses are not a psychological, medical or professional assessment and must not be used as one, nor to make important decisions about yourself or others (hiring, health, relationships). If you are going through a difficult time, please talk to a qualified professional.
Profiles and group analyses are written by an artificial intelligence. They may be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate, and do not reflect the opinion of the publisher.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- You are responsible for your sign-in methods (password, Google or Facebook account, passkeys) and for what is done with your account.
- Your account name is shown to the people you share a profile with and to the members of your duos and groups: do not use someone else's name or an offensive one.
- You can delete your account at any time from your account page: all your data is then deleted.
4. Sharing, duos and groups
- A share link gives access to your profile to anyone who has it, without an account, until you stop sharing it. Only share it with people you trust.
- When you join a duo or a group, your account name and your scores are used to write an analysis that all its members can read (they never see your scores or your profile). Only invite people who agree to take part, and never share an analysis concerning others without their consent.
- Group names and account names must not be offensive, discriminatory or unlawful.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service in a way that harms others (harassment, pressure to take the test, discrimination based on the results);
- try to access data that is not yours, or to disrupt the service (automated requests, bypassing the usage limits, attacks);
- use the service for commercial purposes without our agreement.
We may suspend or delete an account that breaks these rules, and limit how often some actions can be done (tests, translations, analyses).
6. Content and intellectual property
The website, its design, texts and code belong to the publisher. The profiles and analyses generated for you are yours to keep, read and share for personal use.
7. Liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for indirect damage, for decisions made on the basis of a profile or an analysis, or for the loss of data during the beta.
8. Personal data
The privacy policy describes what data we collect, why, and your rights.
9. Changes
We may update these terms, in particular when the service changes. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
